The 2014 vintage of our 3BBL joins two barrels from a cool Sonoma Coast Vineyard and one barrel from a stunning Russian River site. The result is a beautifully layered and lush Pinot Noir that expresses elegant notes of blueberry, rosemary, and a touch of cedar. There is an intermingling of crisp acidity and concentrated fresh red berries, orange zest, and tea flavors that linger thru the extended finish.

The 2015 3BBL is comprised entirely from a phenomenal vineyard in the western reaches of the Sonoma Coast. The 2015 growing season provided low yields throughout the region, which led to small berries and intense flavors. Delicate floral and cola-spice aromas waft from the glass. The palate initially showcases red raspberry and subtle sweet oak, before transitioning to candied pomegranate and black tea on the finish.

The 2016 3BBL was made from two different sites. From the Russian River Valley, the wine displays lovely floral aromatics and bright red fruit. From the Sonoma Coast we’ve added layered dark fruit, cola and spice. After 20 months in French Oak the wine came together seamlessly. The wine's enticing aromatics are highlighted by ripe black cherry, dark plum, and hint of brown spice. The core of dark fruit dominates the mid palate characteristics of the Pinot's rich flavors.

Sanford and Benedict is the classic Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir vineyard and perhaps the one that defined what we think of when describing this Santa Barbara AVA. There's an ethereal element to the 2013 vintage's nose, a bouquet of fresh raspberries and cranberry that intermingles with juniper. The softer mouthfeel gives way to savors of pomegranate and red tea, finishing with a lovely gentle pepper.

Hein Vineyard is about as “Deep-Valley” Anderson Valley as you can get. This cold site requires excruciating attention to ensure even and slow ripening while keeping the elements at bay. The 2014 is a lighter bodied Pinot with fragrances of cola and cardamom spice accompanied by rhubarb, clove, a hint of red currant, and an undertone of piquant raspberry flavors.

Bogey Vineyard is owned and farmed by our old friend and long-time Roessler lover Mike Cooper. Named after his dog, the vineyard overlooks Sonoma at 1000' elevation on Sonoma Mountain. The 2015 Bogey's aromatics are alive with blackberry, crushed rose petals, and mint. Notes of sweet black plum with added accents of cassis and savory herbs harmonize on the palate for a juicy finish.

Lennox Vineyard is a stunning site located in the cooler southwestern edge of the Russian River Valley, only 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard's owner, Alison Hannah, uses her biochemistry background to meticulously maintain the property with her father John. The 2016 Lennox is true to the Russian River Valley with expressive scents of pomegranate, deep plum, and cherry pipe tobacco. The delicious core of boysenberry, cola, and dark cedar persist through the wine's lush mouthfeel.

The 2017 Black Pine Pinot Noir's deep garnet color portends the effusive rich aromatics that leap from the glass. Caramelized cherry and a touch of sandalwood are the primary aromas, with an underbelly of lees character providing yet another level of complexity. The supple mouth filling entrance embraces you with incredible richness. Perfectly balanced, black cherry, candied plum and a hint of brioche on the finish completes this hedonistic wine.

The 2016 Big Bend is a luxurious Chardonnay that is beautifully balanced with an abundance of complexity. The Chardonnay expresses a lovely bouquet of ripe Fuji apples and pears that immediately leap from the glass. The fruit intermingles nicely with complementary components of lemon curd and caramel. The aromas are represented in the flavors that extend the complexity with citrus and a touch of butterscotch on the mid-palate.
