Our girl Sasha was more than just another winery dog. She brought joy to our lives each and every day and is missed dearly by all of us. It was fitting that the special fruit from one of our most valued winegrowers in the far reaches of the Sonoma Coast AVA became available to us in 2018. It allowed us to produce this special bottling in her honor. She is truly the Saint looking over us from above!
The wine’s beautiful dark garnet color gives way to briar patch aromatics. You’re first introduced to crushed black cherry, with plum skin and a hint of potting soil. The lush texture and rich mouthfeel delivers complex layers of blackberry, more Bing cherry and a touch of baking spice. Over the next few years, the wine will continue to become even more seamless, integrating the new French oak and showcasing its abundance of nuances.
